Arm and shoulder pain can be felt from the lower part of the neck and shoulder blade into the arm and into the left and/or right hand. Very few joints in the body work harder than the shoulder joint. Pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting; the shoulder does it all. This can cause the muscles that attach from the shoulder to the neck to pull the cervical vertebrae out of alignment and caused the exiting nerves to be pinched. The nerves in the neck travel down the arm and when pinched and irritated, cause pain to radiate into the arm and even as far down as the hand and fingers. This can cause pain, burning and tingling sensations in those areas. WellnessPlus of Charleston are able to realign the vertebrae in the neck, taking the pressure off the nerves and relieving the shoulder joint and arm pain.
